Measuring Australia’s Digital Divide: the Australian Digital Inclusion Index 2019

The study, an initiative of RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, the Centre for Social Impact and Telstra has again shown that Digital Inclusion is improving in Australia.

However the gap between our digitally included and excluded populations is widening for some groups. It also found that affordability is a strong barrier that prevents people from crossing the digital divide. The Index also provides insight into how our nation is slowly improving digital inclusion.
