The findings of Volunteering Tasmania’s five-year study on volunteering has been released. Lisa Schimanski, Chief Executive, revealed that about ‘297,000 Tasmanians dedicated more than 68 million hours of their time each year’.
Report findings include community service and supporting a cause as the main motivators and barriers include limited time and work/family commitments.
