Understanding models for spontaneous volunteering

The Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience published Australia’s first national handbook on planning for spontaneous volunteers. The report ‘Communities Responding to Disasters: Planning for Spontaneous Volunteers’ provides responses to disasters that can be used by planners to understand ‘the links to affected communities and motivations for actions that can lead to spontaneous volunteering.
