Outback aged care demands see young women gain skills and jobs by looking after elders on country

In response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, a program in Western Australia’s remote community is learning the required skills to care for their elders. Based in Balgo, Kapululangu Aboriginal Women’s Centre offers women a rare pathway to employment while strengthening the connections between families. Volunteering as a pathway to employment is also a strong focus of the program.
