Microsoft Japan jumped on the 4-day workweek wagon, and it worked out

Microsoft Japan tested the ‘Work-Life Choice Challenge’ in August 2019 where workers were encouraged to work shorter hours, rest, take time to learn, spend time with family and volunteer.

This trial resulted in an increase in sales compared to the previous year, savings and efficiencies in other business areas and 83% of staff saying they enjoyed the volunteering options.
