Self-contained laundry unit new drive to help Wellington’s homeless

The Orange Sky mobile van is hitting the streets of Wellington, New Zealand. The mobile laundry van gives homeless people access to a hot shower and clean clothes. It is “completely self-contained unit, with two washing machines, two dryers and a shower and power, water and waste systems.”

Orange Sky, an Australian based company, has partnered with Wellington City Mission. Over 30 vans have been rolled out in New Zealand, and they are looking for more volunteers who can manage the van and can connect and have a genuine conversation with people.
