ROYAL COMMISSION: Commissioners turn to solutions for regional aged care

The regional aged care focused hearings revealed challenges in the delivery of aged care due to ‘widespread dispersion of populations, transportation challenges, geographical isolation and potentially insufficient population densities to support services that are scalable’.  Issues such as poor leadership, fixing the workforce and lack of aged care services were discussed during the hearings.
