Best outcomes in the world: NSW takes big steps to cut cancer deaths

Cancer mortality rates are lowering due to early detection and access to treatment. David Currow, Cancer Institute NSW, attributes the rise in survival rates to ‘prevention campaigns, cancer screening participation, access to services and new emerging therapies have all helped contribute to an overall reduction in mortality rates’.
