The group of volunteers recently completed a six year Protect, Repair, Connect project along the Macquarie River.
Volunteers in Dubbo have worked tirelessly and improved fish habitats, cleared 5 tonnes of rubbish, and installed five interpretive signs along the riverside. The work was part of a $250,000 project funded by the NSW Environmental Trust. Dubbo Rivercare hopes to work with Dubbo Regional Council to build long term environmental plans for the riverside.
