Innovative model of care for Western NSW

Residents of Western NSW will soon be able to consult with doctors via video conference, benefiting both patients and medical staff.

The new Virtual Rural Generalist Services build on the services already available to rural communities across Western NSW. Eighteen new doctors will be a part of the program, and the benefits will be felt by medical staff, patients, and the doctors themselves. The program aims to address challenges of recruitment, retention, and work-life balance felt especially by medical staff in rural areas.
