Greece Has the Highest Digital Skills Divide Between Those In the City and Rural Areas

Eurostat recently released data showing the digital skill divide among those living in cities, suburbs, and rural areas across Europe, with the divide most stark in Greece.

On average across Europe there was a 14 point difference in the digital skill level of those in the city versus those in rural areas. In Greece there was a difference of 23 points between these groups. Digital literacy and access to the internet are considered essential for nations to be competitive globally, as well as for their growth and job sector.
