Older Australians Most Isolated During COVID-19, ‘YouTube Nanna’ Offers Hope

Lyn Farrington created the YouTube channel, SheNANNAgans, during the COVID-19 pandemic. She entertains viewers with a calming voice as she reads books like Possum Magic and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. 

 Creating these YouTube videos has helped Lyn feel less isolated during the pandemic and she urges everyone to get online. New research has shown that Australians aged 70 and over have been the most isolated during the current pandemic. Lyn is just one example of how amazing the digital world can be.
