Learn how to recognise and respond to trauma in a way that supports you to get the most out of your volunteering!

Self-Care is something YOU can do to assist your overall well-being and capacity as a volunteer. We understand that many volunteers work closely with the community and that this can expose you to stressful and sometimes traumatic circumstances. This training workshop has been designed specifically to help you avoid Burn-out and Compassion Fatigue. We value your contribution to building connection and inclusion, and would like to assist you to continue to volunteer in a sustainable way.image of tree in palm of hand

This workshop is offered FREE to people who volunteer within our funded areas. Join with other volunteers in Greater Western Sydney & learn the THREE Pillars to Successful Self-care.

Being a volunteer in the community can expose you to many wonderful experiences and people. However with joy often comes sadness and a want to assist those who are suffering.

Through this experiential course, learn how to:

  • Identify Compassion Fatigue & Burn Out
  • Develop a Self-Care Plan

This training is free for all volunteers working or living in the following local government areas; The Blue Mountains, Blacktown, Penrith, Hawkesbury, Parramatta, The Hills, or Cumberland City Council.
