Working and Interacting with People with Disability

Join this workshop for a conversation on including people with disability in your volunteer work, community, and life.

Young boy with disability interacting with a young girlAny person with a disability, if you asked them, would tell you that it’s no secret that some people just don’t know how to engage with them.

And many people without disability – and without much experience of disability – would tell you, if they were honest, that sometimes, they just don’t know what to do around a person with a disability. Often, when we don’t know what to do, we do nothing and avoid those awkward situations with all our might. Or we do what we think is right but it just doesn’t feel right.

If this is you, come along to the Disability Inclusion Workshop for a conversation on including people with disability in your volunteer work, community, and life.

This training is FREE for all volunteers working or living in Penrith, Hawkesbury, Blue Mountains, Parramatta, Blacktown, Cumberland and The Hills Local Government Areas.
